Are your routines "real" Pilates?
While I have formal training in contemporary mat and reformer, my routines are intentionally adapted for those with strength and weight loss goals. Pilates as an exercise modality is meant for the purpose of rehabilitation, not body recomposition. As a result, I have had to apply my education in kinesiology and background in bodybuilding/exercise science to create routines that differ from Pilates.
This means changes in the exercise selection, rep ranges, spring changes (reformer), body-part specific hypertrophy training, and providing additional education on factors that influence body recomposition outside of exercise.
