Hi, I’m Rachel!
I’m a 38-year-old mom of 2 who is passionate about creating science-based, low-impact workouts that help women get stronger and see visible results from their workouts. I combine my degrees in Kinesiology and Occupational Therapy (physical rehab) with training in Pilates and experience in physique training to create easy to follow routines that increase lean muscle, improve cardiovascular health, promote fat loss, and are fun!
My passion for body recomposition-the process of building lean muscle while losing fat-began in 2011. While in grad school, I began working as a personal trainer, competed in a bodybuilding competition, and discovered there's a true science to physique training. After years of under-eating and over-exercising, I traded in endless cardio for traditional strength training, learned how to train and eat for body recomposition, and built the foundation of the physique you see now.
After my second son was born, I pivoted from healthcare to pursue my passion for fitness. I began STOTT Pilates instructor training in 2020, seeing it as a great complement to my rehab background as an Occupational Therapist. I began teaching reformer pilates in a studio on the weekends, and I started my YouTube channel, Rachel’s Fit Pilates, in 2021 as a way to get more practice with class planning and teaching. While I intended to pursue a full time career as a pilates instructor in a studio once my youngest started kindergarten, online work was the best fit for me while both of my sons were still at home. I fell in love with the creative process of making workouts, sharing them with the world, and feeling like I was truly being in service to others through my work. I always said I’d “really start” working when my youngest started kindergarten in fall of 2025. By the time he started kindergarten, my YouTube channel had grown to a community of over 1 million subscribers worldwide!
While I initially intended to be a "Pilates" channel, it became clear to me that women who were drawn to my channel were focused more on finding an exercise approach that truly aligned with their goals than they were on doing a specific exercise method. This was true for me, too! I didn't care what the exercise method was called, I just wanted it to be the most effective way to see strength and physique change. Learning that Pilates was meant as a rehabilitative form of exercise and not as a means of body recomposition, I began to shift the focus of my channel to be a full fitness experience- strength to create physique changes, Pilates to fill in the gaps of traditional strength training (stability, control, balance, and flexibility work) and cardio for cardiovascular health. My intention is not to create workouts that are marketed as "better" than Pilates, but ones that can better serve the fitness and physique goals of the women in our RFP community.
Now that both of my kids are in school full time, I’m ready to take RFP to the next level, and offer you more through an app experience.
That’s why I created Rachel’s Fit Physique:
To build a space where you feel supported in BOTH your strength and physique goals.
To design new programs that include all 3 methods of exercise, using current research in exercise science. A higher emphasis on progressive resistance, body-part specific training and more structured programs than my older workouts.
To teach you the art and science of body recomposition, support you with tools beyond the workouts, and help you see that your goals are truly within reach!
My goal is to deliver a workout experience, community, and results you can’t get anywhere else- so you can train smarter, get stronger, and build a physique you're proud of!
